The X Editor

The X Editor is a text editor for Windows. It has all of the features you use in a regular text editor, but it doesn't have too many. It has 2 versions. The X Editor Standard, which is just a text editor, and then there is the X Editor Pro, which lets you change the font to embellish it. The X Editor Pro is also better under the shell. It can be registered as the default program to open its files, it can open both standard text files and enhanced X Editor files, and you don't have to worry about forgetting the extension. Both are free.

Requirements

You need Windows 95 or later, and that's about it.
